Copper Kettle Brewing opened in April 2011 on the border of Denver and Aurora, hoping to fill a geographic hole in the metro area's craft-beer scene. But owners Jeremy Gobien and Kristen Kozik had no idea just how thirsty their neighbors would be: Within months, they expanded their brewing capacity by 166 percent. The tap house itself doesn't serve food, but it is elegantly furnished and keeps menus on hand so patrons can have food delivered to pair with Copper Kettle's ever-rotating list of German- and American-style brews.

You won't find a brewery with a more dedicated clientele than the Copper Kettle, and you won't find a brewery that caters more to its regulars than this spot owned by Jeremy Gobien and Kristen Kozik. Stuck in a hidden business park between Denver and Aurora, the Copper Kettle has had to expand three times in less than a year of operation, in part because of regulars grateful for a craft-beer outpost on their side of town (a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival didn't hurt, either)....
