Companion Early Bird Outlet is a discount retail outlet located in south city owned by Companion Bakery. It sells bread at $2 per pound and pastries at $3.50 per pound -- a 30-50 percent discount compared to retail prices -- every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon.
Companion founder Josh Allen added miche to his bakery's bread roll late last year.
