Description

Both sushi and Chinese favorites as well as some Thai dishes are on the menu at this Palm Beacher, tucked inside the historic Bradley Park Hotel. It's a pretty space - cozy dining alcoves, and a lighted patio that draws couples. Drinks here are well made, but can cause sticker shock; go during the "saketini" happy hour, when free appetizers are served on the patio. An appetizer star is the clay pot mussels. Minced chicken in lettuce leaves and pot stickers are examples of other traditional starters. A number of rice and noodle dishes are on the menu, and good for vegetarians. More creative are the chef's entrees. Though not listed as a specialty, the crispy duck, served with thin pancakes, is a dish Chef Jeff Peng has down pat. The house specialty, Coco's "Beggar's Chicken" - stuffed chicken for two, baked in a traditional clay pot - must be ordered 24 hours in advance. The halibut steamed in a banana leaf, with the chef's lemon-ginger-cilantro sauce, is one of the chef's more recent creations. Other dishes include his versions of orange beef, Pad Thai, and Mongolian-style grilled steak.
