At this clever, hip confectioner on Haight Street, you can slurp high-end hot chocolate, spoon up excellent pudding, or casually peruse the wares, as if you were shopping for jewelry, not luxury foods. Known for throwing wine-and-chocolate-tasting parties, this self-described boutique is expensive, but fun. Lounge at the "bar," which serves hot chocolate flavored with green tea, cherry, and mocha as well as well-pulled Blue Bottle espresso drinks. The shop also offers chocolate-making classes.
