Coco Asian Bistro, located near Port Everglades on 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale, contains private canopy booths and a deep, amber-hued, silver-accented dining room. Located in the bustling Harbor Shops they serve an extensive Asian fusion menu in such a gorgeous atmosphere that you can seduce a date without having to lift a fork. While the atmosphere makes for a special dining experience, you'll pay steep prices during dinner (pad Thai costs almost $20). There are better prices during lunch, like bento boxes served with soup. Still, it's a lovely place to dunk sushi in soy sauce, slurp on pho, bite into crispy duck, and savor scallops in a green curry sauce. Sample fresh sushi during happy hour, and enjoy a unique drink menu. More than your standard sake-and-plum wine list found at most sushi joints, Coco offers a selection of several kinds of sake, saketinis, and a wine list that boasts varietals from spicy reds like Cabernet and Malbec to sparkling champagne whites. If you're in the mood for something exotic yet nonalcoholic, try the Thai iced tea.
