Jay-Z once claimed to romance girls who dance with girls, but it's doubtful that he could get very far with the patrons of Club Sutra. As one of the more stylish lesbian clubs in Phoenix, Sutra makes every Friday and Saturday night ladies' night and proves that the fairer sex can party heartier than the boys. You'll definitely catch some fist pumps thanks to the prevalence of bass-heavy hip-hop, R&B, and club hits spun by local lady DJs. Club Sutra isn't all hard-charging go-time, though, featuring singer-songwriter Carey Slade during happy hour on Fridays for a laid-back, but no less fun, time. Saturday night's after-hours rock on until 4 a.m. as dancers light up the floor until nearly the break of dawn.
