Like most big cities, Seattle has no lack of standard Irish bars, but this Capitol Hill pub, situated on Olive Way as it descends toward I-5, has more of a grungier atmosphere than most, as befits the neighborhood. There's always Guinness on tap (of course) and Irish sports memorabilia is crammed into every nook and cranny. But for a unique taste, ask the heavily tatted bartender Fernando to make you a Thai Iced Tea, his own concoction of Baileys and vodka served in a pint glass. Just one of those and you'll be caught up to the college kids who've been drinking there all night.
