Class 302 is famous for its snow, which is composed of flaky ribbons of flavored ice, crowned with a variety of sweet toppings: pudding, boba, rice cake, red bean, taro, condensed milk and caramel among them. But feel free to venture off the dessert menu, because the food specials are pretty great, too. A well-executed classic is the fatty pork over rice. And if the thought of tender, fatty pork isn’t enough to sway you, consider ordering Class 302’s pork chop, a crispy deep-fried pork dish served over a bed of warm rice. The food here is served in tin boxes, alluding to the railroad-style meals that are handed out in parts of Taiwan. Located in the heart of Rowland Heights, this is one of the few places in Los Angeles that will offer you a crash course in true Taiwanese fare. Come for dessert; stay for the food.
