Irish pubs aren’t just for green beers on St. Patrick’s Day. Clancy’s Irish Pub, located in the western suburbs of Wheat Ridge, is open every day but Monday, and make it easy ― and cheap ― to tie one on, with $2 pints of Bud, Bud Light and Coors and $3 well drinks and glasses of wine. Clancy’s has been a neighborhood staple since 1973, and the Wood family has owned it since 1997. A burglar torched the bar a few years back, but six months later it was reopened for business, and it’s been dandy ever since, with neighborhood patrons treated to daily specials like Wednesday movie nights, clam chowder Fridays, and, of course, awesome spreads of corned beef, cabbage and Irish stew on St. Paddy’s Day.
