Cielo is several steps above the usual St. Louis restaurant. Literally: The restaurant is on the eighth floor of the Four Seasons hotel on Laclede's Landing, and the view of the Arch from its floor-to-ceiling windows is certainly one of the city's most striking. The food, too, is impressive. The contemporary Italian menu includes housemade pasta with such uncommon touches as veal cheek and oxtail ravioli. Entrées succeed on balance: A grilled Berkshire pork chop is paired with crisp Bosc pair and wilted chicory, a fantastic blend of sweet, savory and bitter. An excellent destination, provided you just hit it big at Lumière Place next door.
$5 Absolut cocktails, complimentary valet parking and DJ Deception spinning.
Brandon Kerne (Olio and Elaia) faces off against Angela Ortmann (STLwinegirl) in three courses of food & wine pairing.

Whether you're seated inside at the swanky modern bar or lounging outside near the fireplace under the stars, Cielo Bar, located on the eighth floor of the Four Seasons Hotel, is so stunning it will take your breath away. Once you've gotten it back, best order a dirty martini, stat. They make them strong here, with three giant olives if you're into that sort of thing. (Cielo's signature "Dirty Diamond" martini comes with vodka, but purists know that a real martini is made with gin --... More »
Welcome to SkyTerrace, the patio at Cielo. Your table is right this way, facing the Arch. We think you'll have a most pleasant evening, beginning with our Parmesan crisps and fresh-baked bread, served with olive oil and a little sun-dried tomato. What's that, you like the soft music? Mmm-hmm, just a little something to put you in the mood, a little lounge-y -- not too much oontz-oontz. We happily recommend the lobster-carrot soup to start, and the Berkshire pork chop as an entrée... More »
Everything about the new Four Seasons Hotel is exceptional and elevated to new heights: the hospitality, the amenities and, well, the price. But dinner at Cielo is worth the hefty price tag. (And hey, you're not paying.) After all, you don't just go to Cielo, you ascend to it -- through the minimalist Four Seasons foyer that looks more like a modern-art museum than a ho-hum hotel entryway, up the elevator to the eighth floor, through the chic lobby and, finally, to your cushy seat...
