If you want a taste of the luxe life and can't afford a meal at the Palace Arms, what to do? Go to Churchill Bar in the Brown Palace, where you can experience many of the amenities available next door, at a slightly more reasonable price. The menu offers a solid sampling of burgers, upscale sandwiches and salads with a few haute touches, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is even better. Yes, it's clubby, even stodgy -- but there's no reason the old men in expensive suits puffing pre-embargo cigars should have all the fun.
