This is the original location of what is now a large national chain -- the first to specialize in fast, fresh Mexican food. The giant burrito is the main draw, although tacos are also available. Order either one and then be prepared to answer some questions: what kind of salsa (mild, medium or hot, and we do mean hot), and do you want cheese or sour cream in that? During peak times, the folks behind the counter can get behind, but the food is always good. Call for other locations.

Even if it does still come wrapped up in... More »
Chipotle got its start in Colorado, and although this homegrown chain is now running with the big dogs, it still serves up one massive puppy of a barbacoa burrito. To create the classic, Chipotle braises beef in a liquid rife with chipotles, cumin, cloves and garlic until it softens and shreds and absorbs every bit of flavor. The meat is then wrapped in a jumbo flour tortilla along with pintos, Chipotle's signature cilantro-lime rice and much-needed sour cream to cool the heat. If your... More »
