Funky spot offering a hybrid of Asian bowls and fast-food Mexican cuisine that boasts a pistol-packin', sombrero-wearin' Pancho Villa-like panda for a mascot, appropriately named "Pancho Panda." Chino's Sino-Latino culinary creations include chile relleno and spicy jade red chicken on rice, but you can also get burritos and quesadillas here, too. For dessert there are snickerdoodle cookies, just like you used to get in junior high.

We're not sure exactly how the idea for fast Mexican/Chinese food came about ("Hey, you put your chimichanga in my sweet and sour sauce!") but we're glad it happened -- and it's a Valley original. With two locations, you can indulge in a Chino Bandido fix whether you're in the East Valley or on the west side. Either way, you'd better not skip the jade chicken, a deep-fried, bright-red treat that feels like dessert for dinner. Pair it with carnitas or carne asada burros and jerk rice... More »
We've all had days when it's downright hard to decide where to go to dinner, but the next time you're thinking of uttering the infuriating, "I don't know. What do you want to eat?" just quit the wavering and hit up Chino Bandido. Where else will you find Chinese BBQ pork, chiles rellenos, egg foo yung, and machaca all on the same menu? All you have to do is choose a protein (or some veg) and decide whether you want it in a rice or bean bowl (fried rice or refrieds?). Not digging the bowl?... More »
Everyone loves pandas. And a panda dressed up like Pancho Villa -- with a big mustache, a sombrero, a pistol on his hip, and a bullet belt strung across his chest? Now that's a winner, and one that can turn Panda Express' wimpy, two-tone bear into beef with broccoli any day of the week. "Pancho Panda" is the mascot for the PHX's Chinese-Mexican fast-food restaurant Chino Bandido Takee-Outee, and Chino pictures the fun-lovin' critter seated on the floor with legs spread wide, a huge grin on...
