Already constituting something of a mini-fad in Elmhurst and Jackson Heights, Indian-Chinese has finally hit Curry Hill, and it's a welcome addition to the burgeoning mix of South Asian restaurants there. The food is mainly antique Cantonese, remade with extra fresh ginger and garlic. One of the functions of this place, however, is to deliver very, very hot food, so that chile garlic noodles assault your tongue as does chicken with ginger and spring onions. Skip the selections with heavier gravies, however, such as fish Hong Kong-style. Chinese Mirch is already a hit with twentysomething Desis, as Indian expats in America like to be called.
