Description

The newest dumpling shack is also a shade better than most, and their chive-and-pork dumplings (four for around $1) are magnificent: crisp on the bottom and soft on top, dripping with flavorful juices. Other standard classics are rendered with similar aplomb, including sweet-and-sour soup with a surfeit of veggies (including plenty of surreal cloud-ear mushrooms), a great wonton soup, and giant bags of frozen dumplings to take home, including a vegetarian variation. As we've seen a lot lately, there's also a grafting on of new northern Chinese food, including lamb soup, outsize scallion pancakes, and a homemade kimchee made with cabbage and apples. Three tables encourage you to dine in. Best restaurant name ever!
