Operated by Paula Tejeda, the street-food purveyor formerly known as The Girl from Empanada, this small storefront sells one thing: Empanadas, those golden-brown briefcases of meat and vegetables. Fillings include beef with hard-boiled eggs, raisins, and olives, jalapeno, and cheese. There's not much in the way of indoor seating; if you're not taking your empanada for a stroll down 16th, perch on a stool outside on the sidewalk.
