Description

Quirky yet comfy is the best way to describe Chez Oskar, the neighborhood hangout that both Pratt students and Fort Greene families call their own. The decor is art student international and the menu an eclectic mix, but it places its accent on things Gallic, albeit with Mediterranean overtones. Sample the cheese plate or the crisp-skinned chicken breast, but don't miss the frisA(c)e salad, a glorious mix of curly endive laced with chunks of slab bacon, potato, and sautA(c)ed chicken gizzards, topped with a poached egg. There's even live jazz every Thursday to make it seem even more like a transported Left Bank haunt.
