Description

Homey, unpretentious Japanese noodle shop that never disappoints and is sure to leave you as sated as a sumo wrestler at an all-you-can-eat steak house. Go for the specials, like the Cajun-fried shrimp with the crunchy heads still on the bodies or the small, whole squid in a tomato-anchovy sauce. The spicy Korean beef and noodle dish is a classic. Wash it down with plenty of hot (or cold) sake, then top it all off with a coffee jelly for dessert.

This Japanese-style, central Phoenix nosh shop is better known for its various forms of Far Eastern starch, hence the "Noodle" in the name. But the reality is that nearly everything Cherryblossom serves up is super, including its salads, like the Hot Thai Beef Salad, with a sautéed mix of beef and veggies over leaves of fresh romaine. This may be terrible to say, but now that Dr. Atkins is fertilizer, we can finally eat like human beings again, and that means the regular consumption of starch, especially as prepared by Cherryblossom Noodle Cafe.
