Unlike the coffee shops whose food options amount to nothing more than a pile of stale, unappetizing pastries, Cherry Street Coffee is one of the rare joints where you can get a decent cup of coffee AND a decent snack to go. The bagels and sandwiches aren't bad, but the borek—basically the Turkish version of spanakopita—is a welcome departure from ordinary coffee-shop fare, as is the ready-made hummus "plate" (it comes in what looks something like a bento box).
