This outpost of Craig and Kris DeMarco and Bob Lynn's ever-expanding culinary kingdom leaves behind the boutique ambiance and eats of Postino and La Grande Orange for something far more sophisticated and satisfying. Built like an airy, one-story Arizona ranch house, with a peaked roof, a big front porch, and a huge patio out back with a large brick fireplace, CK exudes comfort, warmth, and solidity. And the menu does the same, with an offering of burgers, steaks, tacos, green chile stew, fried chicken, and so on. May seem pedestrian at first glance, but the flavor to be had in each item is first-class, with four-star preparation. Return visits a must.

For being an Italian with my old style gastronomic mentality, the food here matches well my expectations about American style and healthy cuisine, when not going for Italian cuisine. My favorites are the swordfish taco and the sashimi, but I love all the other tacos. Not so much for the other starters, except for the shrimps with avocados. Clean, neat place and not too expensive. The only remark is that sometimes the wait is too long to be served.
loved it!!! plan on a long night...and you will enjoy this experience!! if you have blood sugar issues...bring a snickers you will need it!
Neat environment, very clean and warm feeling. The food is top notch and the sangria is amazing!
Not many restaurants boast a patio as inviting as the interior, but Chelsea's Kitchen, the Central Phoenix eatery of comfort foods and the occasional creative dish, manages to do so. On the bank of a canal, the cozy, foliage-heavy outdoor scene makes you forget that busy Camelback Road is just a block away. Spacious yet intimate, the patio -- nearly as large as the indoor dining area -- features a wood-burning fireplace, a bustling indoor-outdoor bar, cushion-topped benches, and clusters ... More »
We remember the old North Bank restaurant fondly, so we were eager to see what Chris DeMarco and company would do with the prime spot along the canal near 40th Street and Camelback Road, just up the street from DeMarco's small empire at Postino. We're very pleased. The patio at Chelsea's is comfortable, with DeMarco's signature aesthetic (read: you wish he'd send his people over to decorate your house) and without the cacophonous clattering that's the only drawback inside the restaurant. If... More »
