Description

Formerly a Guinean restaurant, this modest storefront now peddles slightly upscale--and slightly bland--Mexican food. But some of it is mega-tasty, including a potato and chorizo quesadilla that comes festooned with crema and foliage, and a guacamole chunkier and more tomatoey than most, served with miniature corn tortillas rather than the usual lardy chips. Other items in which the restaurantas fastidiousness pays off include "plato don," a lazy susan of taco fixings, including strips of sautéed beef and an approximation of chicken tinga. Laid out like an Indian thali, it easily feeds two.
