Description

This Capitol Hill institution has been serving up pints and highballs for 30 years in a uniquely intimate location on busy Broadway. A world away from the hustle of the Hill's main cut, Charlie's is something between a vintage 40's diner and an adult carnival. Filled with handmade stained glass relics like the starburst ceiling in the front room, and featuring a Cheers-like bar all the way in back, Charlie's has a personality all its own. The menu runs the gamut between classic American fair and Italian staples but also has a smattering of "Sample Specials" like pot stickers, clams and big-as-your-face steaks.
