Although Central Texas has been serving barbecue to hungry Pearlanders since 1969, a lot has changed since then - including Pearland's demographics. The 'cue joint is now owned by a Cuban family, meaning that you'll find Cuban dishes such as pork sandwiches and black beans with Spanish rice. The barbecue is as reliable as ever, though, with the Diana plate - two small meats (we recommend the turkey and chopped beef) and two sides with a drink - still a favorite.

The bbq beef and sauce is so-so, but the other meats are very good. Excellent selection of homemade sides like twice baked new potatoes, mac and cheese, cold slaw and potato salad. Do pass up the banana pudding for desert!
