After opening Cecconi's in London and New York, owner Enzo Cecconi opened in West Hollywood in 2009. The Italian restaurant, which replaced Morton's steakhouse, offers simply prepared, Venetian-influenced food and drink. The classy space, its driveway often filled with Mercedes Benzes and BMWs, attracts lunching business people and a stylish evening crowd. Large doors open from the dining room to the terrace, which has banquette seating and a retractable roof - a space where you can sip Prosecco and order grilled octopus or chicken paillard.

Having taken over the old Morton's spot, it's only fitting that it's a total industry scene. However, their patio is really lovely for a drink, and their bar is a great spot to people watch and grab a nibble. Go for the "house selection" which will end up being a sampler platter of lovely bites like seared scallops, a delicious crostini and maybe tuna-stuffed pepperoncini. Great specialty cocktails.
