If you find yourself among the group of people who like their sex dirty but not necessarily their shopping experience, I'm betting you'll love Castle Superstore. Once literally a warehouse on Mercer Street that housed almost every sexual aid you could ever dream of, they now occupy a smaller space on Capitol Hill's Broadway, but still manage to retain their big-box shopping feel. On my last trip there for, uh, research, I walked in to find them playing "The Hustle," which has the magical power to immediately turn any potentially embarrassing situation into kitsch. There were two friendly young girls at the counter commenting on purchases: "Excellent choice! I totally want one of these." It feels like wandering into a Fred Meyer—except the mannequins are much better endowed.—Suzie Rugh
