Description

Casper & Runyon's Nook offers one of the best Jucy burgers (here it's called the Jucy Nookie) around. The patty is done to a perfect medium, still juicy, flavorful, and savory. The cheese is of surprisingly high quality and heated to a molten temperature. It packs real flavor and makes for extremely convincing cheese fries when it leaks out the back of your patty. And the fries themselves are some of the best in the Twin Cities, served with a bit of peel and a great exterior spice rub.

If you can't get in, it must be good, right? Okay, so the masses don't always recognize quality (is American Idol still on?), but in the case of Casper & Runyon's Nook, the crowds are correct. Sometimes it seems that the most coveted seat in town is one in this small, narrow joint near the College of St. Catherine. Every neighborhood bar has its crowd. At the Nook, it's burgers and fries for college kids and their adult, mortgage-laden neighbors. Except on Sundays.
