Olamendi's is the sort of place in which you ask for a balcony seat for a sunny lunch or come later and watch the sun sink into the sea over the two T's: tamales and tequila. Tamales typically arrive on a combo plate, served without the husk, with good corn masa and delicious, tender chicken chunks covered with a little cheese.
Olamendi's was a great restaurant many years ago, but now there is new management/ownership and it's all downhill. The last straw was a bug in our salad!
My friends are I try to have brunch here every weekend. There is no better comfort food in the city and the complimentary cake they serve you before your meal comes is addicting! Also you should try the bloody mary bar (especially if you've had a rough night only a few hours before)- all of the ingredients are so delicious. I would recommend the biscuits and gravy!
I've have brunch here a few times and am never disappointed. It can get crowded so make a reservation is if you can...
