I've been going to Carmine's for over 30 years. I practically grew up there. And that's my ceramic duck on the shelf! Nothing beats Steve's martinis, followed by a house salad, Chicken Eddie and some tartufo. Absolutely the best!
Carmine's is absolutely a must "TRY" in Los Angeles. Whether it is Carmine greeting you at the door or Kim serving up her black and white pizza, the place feels like home. The dimily lite bar feels very old school, with some characters and once you sit you're likely to end up there all night. The drinks are strong, the food is fantastic (some of the best bruschetta and the fried raviolli ever!) If you haven't tried Carmine's, you are missing something special. Price: $$ Tip: Find Kim (the one with the beautiful smile) and tell her Dallas sent you.
This traditional cozy Italian hideaway emanates an essence of a classic mob hangout or the rat pack's place to be! At Carmines you're instant family. The rich dark interior is always packed with locals and loud Italian energy so make reservations! The Italian cookin and the wine is superb so go enjoy!
