Description

Cap"s kitchen runs hot. Chefs cook steaks over an open fire, they grill chicken and chops over live coals, and they marinate pork ribs for 24 hours and smoke them over applewood. They churn out loads of "stackers," which are pulled-pork sandwiches piled so high the bun is practically invisible. One of the iconic Charlie Brown statues overlooks diners in a restaurant with a decidedly old-time feel-an atmosphere helped by the light-rail train that stops right outside. Slow-cooked and grilled entrées range from $8 to $11.

    Some of the best ribs in town. Also, a great breakfast spot right off the light rail.
