Restaurateur Julian Wright, who also owns nearby La Bocca Urban Pizzeria + Wine Bar, has created a vibrant, stylish Mill Avenue hangout that showcases chef Luis Millan's scrumptious contemporary Mexican fare (don't miss the carne asada tacos on homemade tortillas, and the heady rum raisin rice pudding for dessert), as well as more than 100 kinds of premium tequila and mescal.

Canteen most definitely deserves the "modern" in its name, with contemporary design and a luxe atmosphere. The bar is particularly notable, decorated by upward of 100 types of various blanco, reposado, and a�ejo tequilas on display (with a bit of mescal added for good measure).
