Event Review: Bippy's Burlesque-o-Rama
A little bit about Bippy's Burlesque-O-Rama:
Bippy's Burlesque-o-Rama was created by performers who have worked in many shows across the Twin Cities, including Pouty Petals, Luna Rouge, and Barbara Gordon. Originally working together as cast members for Abbie Rhode's Psychedelic Spectacle, the producers wanted to keep the lighter, try-anything-at-least-once mentality provided by that show. Bippy's is keeping burlesque in downtown St. Paul, with monthly shows at Camp Bar featuring Burlesque, Bellydance, and Cabaret! Come on out to have a laugh with some sexy-silly fun!!! This month's special guests are Dalcina Sol Belly Dance & Tomahawk Tassels. $6 cover, 21+
I just went to CAMP yesterday with a few new friends and I thought it was absolutely amazing. The whole ambiance of the place makes you want to come back. Even though it was really casual, the decor made me feel like I wanted to put on a little black dress and lay on the piano :) Great service from an attractive staff, and really great drinks.
The Twin Cities needs more bars like Camp. Who doesn't love a clean bar with dreamy bar/wait staff, drink specials, great decor, and patrons that know how to dress and use soap. Seriously, Camp has the best staff compaired to any other gay bar/nightclub here in the Twin Cities. The owner of Camp knows how to run a bar and draw in men of class and not men that smell like ass.

While Minneapolis may seem like the best place to find a guy, due to the number of gay bars throughout downtown, your best bet for making a connection is at Camp Bar in St. Paul. Whether you want to have an appetizer and cocktail and enjoy some conversation, take in a show, or dance till you drop, Camp Bar provides the right variety for singles and... More »
