This unprepossessing little bakery is easy to overlook as you bustle through the Financial District, but do so at your peril: you'll be missing out on some fine cookies, not to mention a delectable array of falafel, shawerma, and other Middle Eastern savories. The establishment's dozen or so freshly baked cookies are the house specialty, particularly the snickerdoodles, the halvah bars, the chocolate chip cookies, and the German Chocolate Bar, a rich slab of brownie ribboned with walnuts, caramel, and toasted coconut.
