Description

The burgers at this retro, West Coast-style joint come wrapped up in wax paper like a classic ?50s burger shack. Not only is it cute but functional: The paper keeps the grease from dripping down your hands, allowing you to enjoy your fully decked-out, double-patty sandwich without getting too messy. California Burger also serves some mean French fries that are hand-cut with the skin on. They're soaked ahead of time to crisp up nicely and made-to-order. Even better are the shakes, which are rich and thick and made with fresh vanilla ice cream.

  • 2010 | Best Milk Shake

If you are looking for burgers, fries and shakes this is the place! I had the veggie burger and fries with a peppermint shake which comes as a combo. This was NOT a" Boca" type burger. It had the homemade veggie burger look and taste. The veggie burger was topped with caramalized onions, lettuce, pickels and had a great flavor. I substitued mustard instead of mayo. The heaping side of fries were thick and seasoned nicely. The atmosphere is beachy and casual. Overall, I have been back numerous times and the food does not dissapoint. The owner recently opened a second location North on Federal Highway.
