Description

There's a happy New Orleans spirit billowing out of this cramped little six-table hole-in-the-wall incongruously situated a block or two from the cool, gray Pacific. The food isn't strictly authentic -- the gumbo's watery, the red beans are bland, and the crawfish is tasteless -- but there are enough good dishes to inspire a visit if you're in the neighborhood (try the full-bodied andouille po'boy, the fluffy jambalaya, or the richly textured bread pudding).
