Cafe van Kleef is the quintessential Oakland Happy Hour hangout. We're not talking James Dean era. No, stepping into Cafe van Kleef reminds immediately of one's first Carnival during Mardi Gras you know where. The CVK "canal" keeps the waterways in motion, ensuring beer and liquor cargo makes the fastest passage into the hands of both locals & tourists. There'll be a $5 to $10 cover Thu, Fri, Sat, and well worth the money each first Saturday: The Hot Pink Feathers are NOT to be missed. Gorgeous, Magnificent, Beautiful, Breathtaking with the friendliest mix of folks in the entire East Bay.
