This rustic spot overlooking the beach at Galveston has been around for many years and serves an interesting mix of traditional German food — think wienerschnitzel, bratwurst, red cabbage, fried potatoes and sauerkraut — along with a dozen or so different burgers and a decent Reuben sandwich. The homemade apple strudel is the real deal. The second-floor outdoor deck is the perfect place to enjoy a cold brew or two.
