If you can get past the overwrought, New Agey pseudomysticism that infects Emunah (which means "faith"), you'll find a top-quality neighborhood café serving seafood and sushi. Everything on the menu is kosher, and most of that is organic. Enjoy an excellent array of Mediterranean and Caribbean-influenced sushi rolls. These contain ingredients like orange, mint, taramasalata, eggplant spread, cilantro, and pineapple along with sweet and melting yellow tail, white tuna, and salmon. The herbs in the garden salads are locally sourced; entrées are occasionally stunning - like Mystical Sea Bass served with creamy hummus, heirloom tomato and cured olive salad. Soups, made fresh daily, are equally inventive.
The pleasures of tea-drinking come from the taste, health benefits, and environment. Fortunately, Café Emunah, a Kabalistic café and tea bar, has you covered on all three. The teas are garden-direct and organic and contain all the antioxidants you'll need to get through the next five flu seasons. The café itself is an uplifting corner of calm billed as an "oasis for the mind, body, and soul." Its soft light, classy glass tables, friendly staff, and comfortable lounge area (with wi-fi access) make the place a perfect spot for relaxation or pleasant conversation. Sit back and lower your blood pressure with a cup of ancient emerald lily tea, rich with the flavors of melon, wild flower, and toasted nut. If tea-drinking works up your appetite, you should know that Emunah is also a kosher restaurant that offers sushi, salad, and seafood to sate your cravings.
excellent fresh sushi and not your basic rolls, awesome creations. Also killer Chai Tea creme brulee and a killer sea bass as well. The sushi rolls are normal price like 10-14.00 depending on whats in it, but i think they give you more pieces than your average sushi place? Also GREAT organic teas, peach, ginger, jasmine, so gooood. Very relaxing, mod atmosphere. Always busy so call ahead.

If you can navigate through the clouds of New Agey blather that blanket Cafe Emunah like a swarm of Old Testament locusts -- just ignore any invitations to take a spiritual journey and concentrate on your exploration of the specialty rolls -- you'll find that this little Internet café, co-owned by a rabbi and a psychologist, offers plenty to get your creative juices flowing. The sushi chef is doing extraordinary things with fish (raw and cooked), oddly and deliciously paired... More »
Have you heard this one? A rabbi and a psychologist walk into a sushi bar... Hell, I always screw this joke up. The rabbi and the psychologist own the sushi bar. Oh, crap, it's not a sushi bar either. It's a "kabbalistic lifestyle lounge and... More »
