Description

While breakfast and brunch are the most popular meals here, this eatery doesn't skimp on either the menus or the furnishings. Dark-stained wood, large storefront windows and the espresso bar lend Café de France a quaint atmosphere, but one of comfort and fraternity. Omelets rule breakfast. These include the monsieur benedict (broccoli, ham and cheese covered with hollandaise). If you want to go full-on Ooh la la, the croque monsieur or madame are the best bets. Other dishes venture into far-flung continental culinary traditions. For example, the chicken Kiev and the Chef's Pride and Joy, a specialty of linguini tossed with shrimp, imitation crab, mushrooms, onion in alfredo or mariana. Finish any meal with any of their liqueur-spiked coffees.
