Description

Somewhere between Madrid and Mexico is Cactus, Madison Park's homage to Latin cuisine. Tapas are inventive and numerous, but Cactus excels in entrées as well. The chorizo-filled chimayo enchilada and tamales are standouts, and even the Navajo torta, done with delicious Indian fry bread instead of tortillas, is enticing.

  • 2011 | Best Margarita

On its own, tequila is plenty potent (See: Joe Nichols' "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.") With artificial flavors and sugars, it's a recipe for a hangover from hell. WHENEVER I'M WAITING for a table at Cactus—which is not infrequently, by restaurant reviewer standards—I know how the bumper in a pinball machine must feel. There in the tight little entryway of this Madison Park restaurant, the waiters and the "w... More »
