You have to plan ahead to eat Butter Love Bakeshop's magnificent pies: There's a website to order from (www.butterlovebakeshop.com), not a storefront, and owner Esa Yonn-Brown will deliver the pies to your home or work in the early afternoon. Her signature butter pie, a pecan pie without the nuts, is so rich it must be greedily consumed in slivers. Her pot pies are packed with meat and vegetables. And her high-domed fruit pies taste brightly of the seasonal fruit in their centers, not too much sugar nor cooked-down mush. The longtime pastry chef has mastered her mother's all-butter crust so that it stays crunchy even days after the pie arrives; when you break off a chunk, the cross-section is made up of whorls of paper-thin dough.
