Description

Known as a hangout for University of Minnesota students, this Mexican-inspired restaurant features an affordable menu (under $10) of burritos and bar food such as chicken nachos, jalapeno poppers, wings, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks. The bar pours a variety of margaritas and tropical drink creations. Founded by two University of Minnesota students who didn't want to get real jobs, they certainly cater to the college crowd. Sundays and Mondays are karaoke nights. Burrito Loco sports an endless list of specials throughout the week on food and drinks. On Monday nights the bartender will flip a coin and if you call it, you get a free drink. On Thursday nights, a pitcher of beer comes with free nachos. An after-class special on Friday runs from 2 to 6 p.m. and offers $3 pitchers.
