One of two restaurants located in the new B Ocean Fort Lauderdale Hotel, B'stro is the more casual eatery and caters to hotel guests and beachgoers alike. It has both an order-out counter and a clean, open dining room with chic, glaringly white minimalist décor. The French, bistro-style menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner designed by celebrity chef Holli Ugalde (winner of Hell's Kitchen's season seven). For breakfast, try the Florida Benedict, made with cage-free eggs and served with a citrus hollandaise and smoked salmon. For lunch, a cheese plate featuring picks from the menu's 11 artisanal cheeses is a must, especially when paired with wine served from a high-tech, state-of-the-art, temperature-regulating, self-serve dispenser. Sit and eat, or order and dash, with one of many soup and sandwich combinations, like braised beef with caramelized onion served on a crispy baguette with horseradish aioli and paired with onion soup. For dinner, try larger entrée options, ranging from meat to fish, including spiced barramundi, a delicate Australian white fish served with a flavorful, pearl couscous.
