Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub
Delray Beach, FL 33483
New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
There is definitely no shortage of Irish pubs within the South Florida bar scene, but rarely do you come across one that transports you directly to the Emerald Isle. However, Tim Finnegan's in Delray Beach is exactly that type of place. The interior bar is green and narrow; Irish coats of arms and photographs of ancestors adorn the walls. The accouterments are simple and without enormous TVs around every turn. Guinness lovers will be in heaven, as the bar keeps it on a separate draft system and serves it up in the traditional 20-ounce glass. On the weekends, there is always live music, but not just any ol' band: authentic Celtic and Irish music only. Owned by an Irish siblings duo, the warm-hearted and cozy Tim Finnegan's Irish Pub makes its patrons feel like they're one of the family.
