Boynton Beach, FL 33435
New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
At Tiki Tavern, the burgers are $5.95, the patrons play horseshoes, and happy hour starts at 3 p.m. Frequented by bikers and local lushes alike, the covered patio, legitimate tiki statue, and pretty outdoor vibe is almost incongruous with Tiki Tavern's crazy-cheap deals and locals-only atmosphere: the $4.95 daily lunch special, the $14.95 rib-eye steak, the Sunday specials ($1 15-ounce beers on tap all day long), the bike night every Wednesday, the select dollar drafts. Ladies' night even happens twice a week here: on Mondays and Thursdays, from 8 to 11 p.m. Well drinks cost $3.75, 20-ounce tap beers are $3.25, and 16-ounce tap beers are $2.25 -- plus deals are promised for dudes as well. There's live music on Fridays and Saturdays too featuring random and entertaining locals throwing things back to the days of classic rock, which Tiki Tavern would be wont to do: It's as genuine and old-school as it gets, even with that tiki statue.
