New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
Separate from -- but adjacent to -- the luxurious iPic Theaters, this modern Italian restaurant draws visual and culinary inspiration from the Amalfi Coast and the rustic/upscale villas dotting its landscape. Realistic-looking fake bonsai trees weave upward from pots and snake across the ceiling. The theme continues everywhere, with wood or fake wood or stone or fake stone on almost every surface. The menu takes classic Italian flavors and melds them into contemporary Italian-inspired fare. Think Atlantic scallops with parsnip and wild mushroom with truffle and chili oil or braised boneless beef short rib with black mission fig balsamic glaze, garlic spinach, potato gnocchi, and sage brown butter. Tanzy offers Saturday and Sunday brunch, lunch, dinner, and a parma bar--featuring an array of Italian cheeses and charcuterie.
