West Palm Beach, FL 33401
New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
High on a rooftop overlooking downtown West Palm Beach is what's known locally as the Sky Bar. Perched on top of Roxy's (access it through that restaurant), it's more drink- than food-oriented, with crowds flocking here to party on Thursday nights, when Clematis by Night takes over. It's a hot spot for late-late night too. Saner bets for diners are lunch, weekdays, and the big surprise (and great for out-of-towners), Sunday brunch buffet. A small tapas menu includes a pizza, calamari, yucca chips, tuna tataki, and hummus, along with several types of kebabs. For a main meal, there are simple choices like island-rum-roasted chicken, seared double-cut pork chop, Irish salmon, crab-stuffed salmon, and several steaks. For brunch, there are egg and meat dishes in a serve-yourself setting -- with plenty of bloody marys and mimosas on hand for toasting the day -- or if you're there at the right time, a perfect sunset.
Tips from foursquare
Awesome rooftop bar at @roxyspub - should be a stop on EVERY West Palm Beach pub crawl!
The more drinks you have, the more stairs you have to climb or descend. Thank god for the banisters.
Take the elevator...there are slot of friggin stairs!!!!
Without doubt, Sky 309 offers up the city's best views. Order a drink, lean over the railing, and peek in on couples on their first date stroll Clematis. -WV
Joey is the best bartender!
