New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
Leila means "exotic night," and this place is one big Mediterranean party, from the sexy belly dancers through the smoking of the traditional arguileh water pipe filled with fruited tobacco. Small plates are meant to be shared: hummus, grape leaves, tender and flavorful lamb kebabs, grilled zucchini in pomegranate syrup, kefta, char-grilled fish, seared slices of sheep's cheese and tender chicken with garlic and lemon. Partners Ed Costa and Alex Awad have recently taken over this intimately chic, welcoming space, where you'll want to linger long over a Turkish coffee.
