New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
This spacious bar and grill hidden in the back of the Harbor Shops has all the trappings of a sports bar: two bars inside and out, plenty of big screen TVs (including two projection screens), and some good pub food to match. Lunch specials start around $7, and feature creative choices like a fried snapper Reuben made with local fish and jalapeno slaw, and grilled cheese on challah with great house-made chili. The place also makes great prime rib that it ages for four weeks, then smokes to completion. Happy hour runs 4 to 7 p.m. daily, and everything is half price during that time. There's a few problems, though: The central bar is pretty small, and the televisions above it are mounted really high. You've got to crank your neck to see any games on; that, or face away from the bar awkwardly and watch the projection screen behind you. Our suggestion: Come on a weekend, grab a breezy patio seat, and partake in the bloody mary bar (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday). For four bucks you get to a double shot of vodka and access to over 20 bloody mary fixings, from tomato juice and lime to an outstanding homemade mix.
