G.W. Sharkey's Raw Bar and Grill

Map & Directions 2388 N. University Drive
Coral Springs, FL 33065

New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description

Brews and bros is the name of the game at Coral Springs landmark G.W. Sharkeys. Tucked inside a corner of a strip mall, for decades, this sports bar has been a drinking haven for locals. Multiple TVs hang in various locations, the wood-paneled walls are decked out with neighborhood sports team memorabilia, and there is a stage in the back for karaoke lovers. There is also a large wooden center bar filled with draft beers and liquors, but it's usually packed, so be prepared to squeeze through the crowd. From pool tables to electronic dartboards and bar-top arcade games, Sharkeys has all the necessary boys'-night-out drinking accessories. In addition to the alcohol selection is a wide variety of quintessential sports bar fare available to cure the late-night munchies.

Don't drink the draft beer. Tastes like wet towels.
