City Fish Market
Boca Raton, FL 33434
New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Description
City Fish Market is an outpost of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, which also owns Chop's Lobster Bar in Boca Raton. This Atlanta outfit runs a smooth operation with a come-hither approach: 40 wines under $40 and a menu of the freshest, local, and sustainable seafood available in Broward/Palm Beach. The cool-casual restaurant includes a market selling Scottish salmon and Nantucket bay scallops, Boston lemon sole, and Key West hogfish. The restaurant's raw bar serves best quality clams, oysters, lobster, and crab. What's on the menu depends on season, and it's mostly cooked in simple olive oil or butter sauces. Don't miss the lightly battered king crab fritters with remoulade sauce or their signature crab cake. There's also a daily infused martini made with fresh fruit.
Tips from foursquare
Proclaimed Best Seafood Restaurant by New Times Broward Palm Beach. The seafood here is fresh and exactingly prepared. Try the posh oysters Rockefeller or calamari with a Thai-style chili sauce.
Agree that the calamari is great. Not spicy at all. Kinda bummed that the 'surf' was just 3 fried shrimp with a tiny filet as the turf.
The sweet/spicy fried Calamari Is INCREDIBLE!! Also... The Tilapia done Hong Kong style.. You won't be sorry :)
Food is undercooked and service is terrible!!!
Best lobster bisque. Ever. Get it with the chunks or it's not worth it.
